On Bill Sandbrook

On July 1, 2006, Bill Sandbrook officially took the reins as APG's Chief Executive Officer. Bill was formerly President of Oldcastle Materials' West Division. In addition to heading APG's US and Canadian operations, Bill is also responsible for CRH's businesses in South America. Bill attended the US Military Academy at West Point and subsequently served in the Army for thirteen years. Bill was an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the Military Academy and for two years was the Army Program representative to Raytheon.

Bill earned four Master's Degrees while in the service. He received an MBA from Wharton, a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master's in Public Policy from the Naval War College and a Master of Arts in International Relations from Salve Regina University. Additionally, while still in the service, he earned his Professional Engineer's License (PE) in industrial engineering. In 1992, Bill joined Tilcon, New York, as Vice President. In 1995, Bill was promoted to President and a year later Tilcon was purchased by Oldcastle Materials. Bill is married, having met his wife, Nancy, 32 years ago in high school. His daughter, Paige, is a senior at the University of Denver.
